2010 CSG National Conference: Announcements
Important information regarding local labor dispute:
The Westin Providence is currently the subject of a labor dispute between hotel ownership and the hotel workers’ union, Unite Here Local 217. Due to this dispute, CSG has obtained an alternative block of hotel rooms at the Providence Biltmore, which is located approximately one block (0.2 miles) from the Rhode Island Convention Center. No meetings or events sponsored by the 2010 CSG National Conference will take place at the Westin Providence; instead, all sessions will take place at the Rhode Island Convention, while some evening events may occur at another neutral location. CSG is, however, contractually obligated to honor its current room block at the Westin—a contract CSG entered into prior to the labor dispute and without knowledge that the dispute would occur. Please note that rooms at the Providence Biltmore are on a first-come, first-serve basis and limited in number. Attendees wishing to stay at either meeting property should use the information provided at www.csg.org/events/2010NationalConference/ to make their room reservations. If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact CSG at (800) 800-1910 or registration@csg.org. For information on the Westin or the Biltmore, please visit the hotel information page.
